AI and ingredient transparency

Skinvio Trust Center

Skinvio uses selfie scans, AI analysis, product data, and ingredient context to provide skincare wellness guidance. This page explains how to interpret that guidance safely and how we think about data quality, recommendations, and user control.

Wellness guidance, not diagnosis

Skinvio helps you understand visible skincare patterns and routine fit. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or monitor medical conditions, and it is not a substitute for a dermatologist or healthcare professional.

Scan quality matters

Lighting, focus, face centering, makeup, camera angle, and recent skin irritation can affect scan confidence. When a scan is not usable, Skinvio should guide you to retake it instead of treating weak inputs as reliable results.

AI results need context

AI analysis combines your submitted photo, skin profile, goals, and routine context to return skincare wellness guidance. Results are estimates and may change as your environment, routine, or photo quality changes.

Ingredient data comes from product records

Ingredient checks rely on product catalog entries from admin review, public product databases such as Open Beauty Facts, and user-submitted corrections after review. Missing or stale product data can limit the usefulness of ingredient guidance.

Recommendation independence

Product suggestions should be ranked by profile fit, ingredient context, routine compatibility, and available catalog data. If Skinvio introduces affiliate links, paid placement, or sponsored recommendations, that relationship should be clearly disclosed.

User control and recourse

You can contact support for privacy requests, account deletion questions, incorrect product data, subscription help, or scan concerns. Do not send raw face photos by email unless support specifically asks for more information.

What Skinvio Can And Cannot Tell You

Skinvio can help with

  • Tracking visible skincare changes over time
  • Understanding cosmetic patterns such as dryness appearance, texture appearance, redness appearance, and pore visibility
  • Building routines around your stated goals, preferences, and product context
  • Spotting missing or potentially incompatible routine steps
  • Explaining ingredient and product information in plain language

Skinvio cannot do

  • Diagnose acne, rosacea, eczema, infection, cancer, allergy, or any other medical condition
  • Replace a dermatologist, clinician, pharmacist, or emergency care
  • Guarantee that a product will be safe or effective for you
  • Identify you by your face or authenticate you using face data
  • Make every scan comparable when photo conditions are meaningfully different

How To Read Ingredient Guidance

Ingredient guidance should help you ask better questions, not create fear about long ingredient names. Skinvio should consider the product category, your profile, your saved routine, and available catalog data before presenting compatibility notes.

Ingredient lists can change when brands reformulate products. If a product looks wrong, out of date, duplicated, or incomplete, contact support@skinvio.app with the product name, brand, barcode if available, and the correction you noticed.

When To Get Professional Help

Stop using any product that appears to cause a reaction. Contact a healthcare professional for pain, swelling, bleeding, infection signs, sudden changes, severe irritation, or any concern that feels medical rather than cosmetic. Skinvio support cannot provide medical advice.
